The fragmented image of Nuru Mia symbolizes the thousands of forgotten workers who become almost invisible within the society they help construct. Their worn bodies carry stories of hardship, while their eyes reflect a quiet sense of dignity and maya that often goes unnoticed.
Through this installation, I question who is remembered and who is forgotten. Nuru Mia is not merely an individual; he represents the countless unnamed workers whose labor builds our society while they receive little recognition in return.
